Labor Day marks the end of summer and new beginnings. Celebrate by enjoying these last days of summer whether it's a cultural event with arts and crafts, music or a beach fair celebration. Get out and have some fun. All events listed below are great for groups of friends as well as families with children.

John Williams, the famous composer and conductor of many famous movie scores, is giving a concert with the Los Angeles Philharmonic at The Hollywood Bowl. Julie Andrews will appear as special guest narrator to highlight a special celebration of Henry Mancini. Concert dates are Aug. 30 and 31 at 8 p.m.

Lots of international music bands, crafts and food adorn four streets lining the area of Plaza Square, Chapman and Glassel streets in the City of Orange. Each street is populated with bands and food from different countries around the world such as Ireland, Mexico, Italy, Switzerland and more. About 42 vendors consisting of alcohol and food are offered. It's also a great place to take kids as there is an entire street dedicated to kiddie fun for games and crafts. This is a great event in Los Angeles where the all ethnicities come together Labor Day weekend. The event is free to attend.

One of the best food events happens during Labor Day weekend in Los Angeles called Los Angeles Times The Taste. The event hosts dozens of popular restaurants serving samples of their food in an outdoor setting on the Paramount Lot in Hollywood. Food offerings are plenty from organic creative dishes, high-end steak dishes, tapas-style food and more. Wine tastings, tequilas and new vodka brands are also available for tastes. There is also live music performed at this event. Attend one night or attend them all. Tickets start at $50 per person or $175 for weekend passes.

Celebrate African heritage and culture at this free, much-anticipated event for three days on Labor Day weekend This event is a music lover's dream and is culturally diverse with fun-filled activities for the whole family. Well-known musicians have played at this event such as Randy Crawford and Azar Lawrence and great Indie bands are also preforming. The event is all about African culture, fine art, African crafts as well as food from this culture. Leimert Park Village is known for being "The Harlem of the West Coast." The community surrounding the area has lots to explore with well over 60 shops.

Labor Day usually marks the last day to wear summer white and celebrate the last beach weekend of the summer. Fiesta Hermosa is famous for its beer garden offering celebrity servers such as the Mayor and members of council and civic departments serving beer. Proceeds are given back to the community departments. The food court offerings are from many local area restaurants from Mexican food to barbecue style, Greek food and more. Music is a key highlight here with a wide range of blues, soul, rock and roll and more. Arts and crafts vendors are plentiful. If you want to bike to the event, this year it is offering a bike valet service. The event is free to attend.

Fabulous Greek food and lots of traditional Greek entertainment awaits you Labor Day weekend at the beach community of Belmont Shores. The outdoor amphitheater hosts theatrical performances of characters in Greek mythology and Greek folk songs are performed. Enjoy foods from Greece like souvlakia, kebabs and pastries like baklava. Greek music and plenty of dancing awaits your enjoyment. This affordable entrance fee is $5 for adults and $2.50 for seniors and youth below 17.
