It’s that time of the year where the season changes from winter to spring and holidays like Easter boast lots of creative and fun activities for the entire family to enjoy. From Easter egg hunts to story time, there are tons of events in the Orange County that you can take the family to enjoy the holiday.

Enjoy free photos with the Easter bunny this year in downtown Anaheim and also free bunny balloon craft activities along with trackless train rides for a small fee. There will be live music from the likes of Jim Becker, Corey Angeli, Christine Barger and Juggling Jimmy. This event is free and open to the public and suitable for children from the ages of two to 12.

Bring the kids to a great event that is a special Peter Rabbit story time with a reading of Beatrix Potter’s classic original tale. It is held on Tuesday, March 31 from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at South Coast Plaza. It is free and open to the public. The story follows the mischievous and disobedient young Peter Rabbit as he is chased in the garden and is a children’s classic.

No Easter is complete without an Easter egg hunt and on Friday, April 3 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., gather the family and the kids for just that. Compass Bible Church hosts the event that will have bounce houses, big slides, snacks, drinks, face paintings, balloon artists, goody bags and donuts, all for free. Parking is free for those attending and is permitted on the Laguna Hills High School lots.

The morning activities for this Easter Celebration includes an egg hunt that begins at 10 a.m. and is followed by games and science for the senses. Children are invited to decorate their very own eggs and this year, the venue will host an exciting and engaging Easter egg hunt. It will be hosted on a first come, first served basis. The event is included into the museum admission and is to be held on Saturday, April 4 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Celebrate the wonders of spring and the change of the season at the “home of the 50 monkeys” on Sunday, April 20 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be spotlights on a few animals at the zoo, including bunnies, wild and crazy turkeys, hens, roosters and a handful of monkeys. The event will also include music, food, entertainment, treats and stations for kids to decorate eggs. Enjoy the Conservation Carrousel and Zoofari Express Train. The event is open to those that pay the general admissions fees.
