The original toffee flavors include almond, almond fleur de sel, orange, ginger, mint and classic toffee. The other must-try candy is Valerie's Durango bark, which is darkened milk chocolate that is topped with roasted organic California almonds, cocoa nibs and a sprinkling of Durango smoked salt. Partners and founders Valerie and Stan recently opened the Echo Park location, which also serves as a tea house and bakery.

The small family-owned chocolatier in Bruge, Belgium exports more than 300 different hand-crafted chocolates to the atelier in Los Angeles. Each truffle is different from the next, from dark chocolate cream to Champagne cream to hazelnut mousse. Naturally grown fruit (cherry, candied lemon peel, orange and nuts) harvested at its peak is dipped carefully in dark, milk or white chocolate for a beautiful combination of taste and flavor.
