Happy hour is a social staple in Los Angeles. In addition to being the perfect outlet for blowing off steam, it's a great opportunity to network without blowing an entire paycheck. But in Hollywood, everyone is looking for the next bigger and better option, and that includes happy hour. To accommodate the promiscuous palate of the happy hour hipster, many bars and restaurants seasonally update their happy hour offerings to keep customers coming back. So if you're looking for a change of menu at the turn of the season, check out these places with new happy hour fare.

In LA it's practically summer all year-round, so fresh fish is always on the menu. And if you happen to be an oyster lover, Blue Plate Oysterette is where to go. With a happy hour offering $5 drafts, $6 red, white and sangria and $1 oysters, you can definitely get your fill and still have some money left over. While this may not necessarily be a recent update to their happy hour it's definitely one of the hottest.

Having closed down briefly for renovations in September, Cecconi's on Melrose and Robertson is reopen with a fantastic happy hour deal: 4 to 7 p.m. From During those hours you can get some really amazing fare that costs either four or seven bucks. For $4 you can have fried olives, mortadella & parmigiano, tuna & avocado lettuce wrap or baked gnocchi romana (just to name a few) and wash it down with a draft peroni. For $7, choose the black truffle burger burrata, wild arugula & avocado, or some  calamari fritti with lemon & chili. There are also delightful wines, margaritas, bellinis and prosecco for some of your beverages.

It's not often that a pizza place would offer happy hour, but this is LA after all and anything is possible. At 800 Degrees Neapolitan Pizzeria, you can double your happy hour pleasure from 3-7 with $4 cocktails, beer and wine with $2 off on everything else and a $5 small bites menu. You can do it again from 10-2 a.m., making DTLA a happy place to be.

For those who live on the far side of LA, you too can have a terrific revamped happy hour in your neck of the woods. The Corner Door of Culver City has an extensive happy hour that you won't want to miss. From 5-7 p.m. every day of the week you can choose from a nice variety of bites like cheese plates, smoked salmon terrine, fish n chips and sticky toffee pudding (just to name a few) ranging from $5-11 and definitely get your money's worth. Cocktails are $7 and include margaritas and moscow mules. There's also a late night one-hour happy hour you can catch.
