Whether you live in southern California or you're just visiting, one of the best things about the area is the weather. A great way to enjoy the weather is with a bike ride. Traveling with a bike, however, can be a pain. If you want to enjoy some of the weather and scenery of Orange County, here are some of the best places to rent a bike.

Bargain Bike Rentals certainly provides truth in advertising with its name. Here you can rent a bike for $10 for the entire day. The rental includes a wire basket, a lock and a helmet for your rider(s) less than 18 years old. You'd be hard-pressed to find a better bargain than that.

The Path rents both road and mountain bikes that you can use all day. All road and mountain bikes are $65 for the entire day, and dual-suspension bikes are $80 for the day. Reservations are recommended, especially if you want to ride a particular bike.

Newport Cruisers can accommodate single riders, couples and entire families as well. In addition to single bikes, you can also rent tandem bikes, a bike with a tow-along for your child or a trailer to pull behind your beach cruiser. Zack's has trailers you can tow behind your bike rental as well as tandem bikes so your child can pedal along with you. In addition, Zack's also has bike buggies that can accommodate a family of four. Rentals here are just $10 per hour or $30 for an entire day. You can also get food at Zack's, which is good because you might be hungry after your ride.

Three different kinds of electric bikes are available to rent: a cruiser, a trail bike and a tandem. The cruiser is the most affordable option at $14 per hour or $50 for the entire day. The trail bike and tandem are $25 per hour or $100 for the entire day. If you don't want to rent an electric bike, all pedal bikes are available to rent for $25 per day.
