Baseball is one of those sports that's not only exciting to watch but a lot of fun to play. Pick up games are becoming increasingly popular, and more parks are renovating their baseball fields accordingly. And with Los Angeles weather being what it is, baseball season is year round. Whether you are playing on the company-sponsored team, getting the neighborhood kids out for a scrimmage or looking for a pickup game on a Saturday morning, here are the best baseball parks in Los Angeles.

The city of Burbank has a lot to offer. Besides all the movie and TV studios and great restaurants, it also has wonderful parks. Brace Canyon Park is the most popular spot if you're looking for a little action. From ziplines to tennis courts, Brace Canyon has something for everyone, including those looking to start a game of baseball. Two nicely maintained diamonds are open from dawn to dusk. Call ahead and reserve one.

With four baseball diamonds available to the public, Salt Lake Park in Huntington Park gives you a greater chance of playing a game on the day you want. Large fields and groomed diamonds make playing the game more enjoyable. The park also has two-lane batting cages right near the fields so you can warm up before your game. The park itself sits on 23 acres and has plenty of fun stuff for the whole family. Little Leaguers use the fields and the cages often, so be sure to make a reservation to get a field.

With a gymnasium, a basketball court, two football fields, tennis courts, a modern children's play area and two picnic areas with barbecues, it's easy to spend a whole day at the Eagle Rock Rec Center. It's also the perfect place for a pick up game of baseball. The park has three gorgeous diamonds and plenty of seating areas for your friends and family. They are also well lit for nighttime games. Call ahead to reserve a field.

Pan Pacific Park offers a lovely stroll for families and pets through green and grassy hills. Often said to be an oasis in the middle of the city, the park has been a source of recreation and relaxation for generations of Angelenos. With a green amphitheater, abundant picnicking areas and, of course, a great baseball field, Pan Pacific Park is another terrific option for a game. Baseball diamond reservations are required.

Playa Vista Sports Park is not just a park but a community. Designed to have something for everyone, PVSP is one of the best parks in Los Angeles. The baseball diamond is located right next to a picnic and barbecue area, so players can grill and eat during a game. There's also plenty of parking, marshlands and many other fields for all sorts of athletes. Reservations are required, so make sure you call ahead.
