Fathers Pub & Grub
13912 Ponderosa St.
Santa Ana, CA 92705
(714) 542-8334
www.facebook.com/Fathers-Pub

Fathers Pub & Grub is the perfect mixture of dive and charm, giving patrons free food on Sundays and offering free peanuts whenever you buy a drink at the bar. This spot’s dedication to the semi-sports bar motif is strong by offering enough televisions to root for your team while someone at another table is lamenting over their team’s defeat. The staff is congenial and lively, often winning barflies over with their good looks and pearly smiles. Give Fathers a try if you like a bit of the salty snack with your draught beer and be sure to swing by on open mic night to either cheer on your buddies or hide your head when someone gets up there with a bad singing voice.

Marty’s Bar & Grill
14401 Newport Ave.
Tustin, CA 92780

This proud Cajun bar in Tustin has plenty to love: the menu is authentic and delicious, the beer is plentiful and well-priced and the free buffet of snacks is perfect for any newcomer. Marty’s caters to a regular group of people, some even have their orders ready as soon as they walk in the door. In addition, sometimes live bands play and the weekends are always dedicated to sporting events. But, don’t let those things distract you from the killer cuisine and excellent atmosphere. It’s nearly impossible to find good Cajun anything in Orange County, so swing by Marty’s for a good Louisiana time.

Patrick’s Pub
2645 Harbor Blvd.
Costa Mesa, CA 92626
(714) 966-2721

Some places offer you free snacks including peanuts, but why settle for minuscule morsels when you can have free pizza on Sunday and free hot dogs on Monday? This hospitality is built around your love for football, but you can fake it just to grab a free slice in between quarters. Not only is the food free, but so are some of the games like darts. Any respectable watering hole has a big Golden Tee machine and Patrick’s is no different, giving credence to the pub atmosphere as superior to the bar life.

Mirage Hookah Lounge
6041 Bolsa Ave.
Huntington Beach, CA 92647
(714) 892-3200

Sometimes you are not feeling like dealing with a bunch of macho dudes in order to enjoy the company of friends and family, especially if free snacks is your main motivation. Hookah comes with its own awesome benefits, like a mixture of relaxation and community, but Mirage makes sure your stomach doesn’t go unloved with some free snacks when checking into various social media places, like Yelp and Foursquare. If modern technology is not your friend, you can still enjoy the fries which are sometimes handed out for the awesome price of “on the house.”

The Pump Room
1532 W. Chapman Ave.
Orange,CA 92868
(714) 978-6010
www.facebook.com/The-Pump-Room

Orange has a few awesome bars, but The Pump Room embraces its dive-ness in quite a few ways. The beer is super cheap and cold, the pool tables are 50 cents a game and the bar maidens are dressed to impress. For fans of free stuff, the popcorn is always free, as are the pretzels when in stock and not already devoured by the customers. The Pump Room has a wide variety of beers and super quick wi-fi for a dive bar, so it would make a great place for your fantasy sports draft. While definitely not at the top of the classiest bars list, but The Pump Room is full of both color and free munchies: one of the best combinations possible.
