Fourth Annual Woodstock Tribute: Weekend of Music and Art

The fourth annual Woodstock Tribute: Weekend of Music and Art will celebrate the iconic 60’s Woodstock event with musical appearances by The Who Revue and Aquarius ’68. The Who Revue is a group that not only performs the legendary sounds of The Who, but also revives the look that is reminiscent of the well-known rock band. Aquarius ’68 (previously known as Summer of Love) is a band that performs songs with costume changes by artists including Janis Joplin, John Fogerty, Sly Stone, Jim Hendrix and Arlo Guthrie. In addition to live 60’s music, the event will also showcase stilt walkers dressed as hippies, crafts and artisan work. Free face painting will also be available and gourmet food trucks and tie-dye vendors will be on site.

First Thursdays Art Walk

The First Thursday Art Walk in Laguna Beach illustrates artwork from several galleries located on the North Coast Highway, Central Downtown and the South Coast Highway. The North and South Coast Highways have a longer lineup of galleries participating with at least ten to view during each walk. However, Central Downtown will have fewer stops along the way but each will boast magnificent artwork. Conveniently, there are free trams offered by the city to shuttle attendees to the art galleries.

In addition to artwork being showcased by over 100 artists, the first annual California Art Walk will also provide live music, food and beverages. Held at the Anaheim Convention Center, one of the largest convention centers in the world, this event is projected to draw thousands of art enthusiasts, being the biggest indoor art walk in Orange County. The event is featuring artists and art galleries including Robert Holton, musical artist Lorenzo Grassi and the Rothick Art Haus art gallery.

Enjoy this art walk located “in the heart and soul of surf city” in Downtown Huntington Beach. Professional artists and students alike display a variety of artwork including traditional artistic styles. Peruse the over 10 galleries or studios participating and you will see a diverse range of art from great local talent. Also, performing arts entertainment is offered. Recently, a dance performance was given by Huntington Beach High School’s performing arts program. Dancers dressed as zombies and performed to Michael Jackson’s song, “Thriller” at the event.
