Boasting over 150 different vendors, all of which are cranking out quality, handcrafted goods, are also doing so locally. Founders Sara Diederich, Laura Fischer, and Melissa Shipley met during their time at an international organization for the arts. There creative vision was to create a marketplace with a heightened level of excellence that married local identity with artistic presentation. The result was Jackalope. Just east of the main stretch of boutiques and hotspots that line Melrose Avenue is an intimate, non-descript watering hole that is easily one of the area's most stylish hangouts. Pour Vous has all the charm and elbow room of your neighborhood dive bar, only that the cocktail program is as elegant and meticulous as that of a fine dining establishment. The Parisian influence is reflected in the aesthetic of the room, as the destination has become synonymous with burlesque culture. Hosting the Peek-A-Boo burlesque revue, the ladies of he Suicide Girls perform a salaciously stylish set of numbers that marry pop culture and visual titillation. While the ladies woo the crowd, bartenders muddle, shake, and garnish the kind of drinks that cement cravings. Creating a nightlife environment that is tastefully adult, Pour Vous is an LA destination worth staying out late for.
