Start this September week off with a baseball game and a comedy show before getting to know a bit about wines and experiencing some world-famous artists at the Pageant of the Vandals. Once Friday night hits, a classic performer returns to Orange County for the first time in 20 years. Then the weekend is filled with two unique and exciting festivals to end the week right.

We are close to the official end of summer, which means the nights are getting cooler, but they're not quite cold yet. Late summer weather is perfect for night games at Angel Stadium. Before we head into fall, spend a summer night at the ballpark taking in a game against the Seattle Mariners. Having just won two of three games against the Mariners up in Washington at the beginning of the month, it's bound to be a good showdown as the Seattle team tries to even up the score. Throw on a red shirt and grab a hot dog, some popcorn and a Rally Monkey—you'll have everything you need to blend in with the crowd and enjoy your time rooting for one of only two pro sports teams based here in OC.

The Liquid Arts series takes place at the Fairmont in Newport Beach on the second Wednesday of the month, offering the public a chance to explore all there is to know about wine and spirits. Led by experts in the industry - mixologists, sommeliers and even chefs - the talks explore brand history, proper pairing and more. Each month has a different topic of discussion, with each one focused on a different drink. For September, that topic is Malbec. Late summer is the perfect time to grill meat and pair it with the perfect Malbec. The Fairmont's series will discuss multiple varieties including Argentine Malbec. Each sessions costs $20 and includes valet parking at the hotel. Though they won't host an event in December, October's theme will be craft beer and November's will be Thanksgiving wines.

As a play on the famous Laguna Beach-based Pageant of the Masters, AR4T's Pageant of the Vandals is an exhibit showcasing contemporary street art. Centering on a piece by world-renowned street artist Banksy, it's one of the few places in the country where guests can view an original by the secretive artist. The life-size rat was originally painted on the side of a San Francisco bed and breakfast in 2010. Brian Greif, who works to save Banksy's paintings from entering private collections, contacted the owners to remove the panels, plank by plank, so the painting could be reformed and shown in galleries. The two-month exhibition will rotate additional pieces every few weeks, showcasing work from other street artists including Zio Ziegler, Jeff Gillette, Lucy Sparrow, Ella Sadkin, Beau Stanton and more. The pageant is put on in partnership with the Hexagon Gallery and Elephants & Castles.

Joining him on tour is Trisha Yearwood, his wife of over 10 years, who will play her own country hits. His electrifying performance will no doubt be worth the 20-year wait.
