Catherine Joubert grew up in Montreal in a family of artists. After spending two summer breaks in Southern California, she realized that she belonged in LA and moved to Hollywood in 1998 to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. After working at Twentieth Century Fox on international marketing campaigns for feature films, she began her career as a freelance wardrobe stylist. Catherine's passion and flair for styling is apparent in her enthusiasm, impeccable taste and attention to detail. Some of her most notable projects include giving Perez Hilton a polished new look for a photo shoot to highlight his inspiring weight loss; making actress Jessica Capshaw look cozy for the holiday cover of Healthy Living Magazine; and turning a Korean pop girl group into futuristic vixens for their debut music video. When she's not busy with her personal clients all over LA, Catherine enjoys being creative, styling fashion editorials for various local and international magazines. Catherine always abides by this main styling rule: "Whomever the client, whatever the budget, always keep it classy."

Gingham

The classic checker print reminiscent of picnic tablecloths is oh so pretty and feminine. Gingham is synonymous with spring and summer because its lightweight dyed cotton yarn will keep you cool on a warm day. For a fresh casual look, choose a pair of gingham shorts with a gladiator flat and a simple white tank. For an evening look, opt for a maxi or midi shirtdress paired with a wedge sandal.

Gladiator Sandal

The gladiator sandal is making a powerful comeback this season. The lacy sandal works with a variety of looks from the beach to an evening out. Make a statement and feel like a goddess with a knee-high style, or keep it simple and comfortable with a minimal tan gladiator flat that will coordinate with practically anything in your spring/summer wardrobe.

Culottes

The culotte (albeit not everyone's cup of tea) is perfect on a hot day. In cotton, silk or linen blend, this silhouette is roomy, flowly, feminine and a nice change from the quintessential skinny jean. Wear the culotte with a flat sandal and a tailored button-down during the day and dress it up for the evening with a blazer and heels.

Fringe

Let's admit that fringes are fun and create movement to a garment or accessory. What's great about this trend is that you can choose to go all out or just punctuate your wardrobe with it. You can fully embrace the look by wearing a fringed dress or skirt or use it more conservatively by punching up a simple outfit with a fringed accessory such as a heel or handbag.
