Mardi Gras, it's an awesome day.

Like seriously, what's better than a day dedicated to being fat?

We know that those parades where you throw beads at girls who flash you are pretty fun, but this year do something a little different and celebrate Mardi Gras in true Louisiana fashion: with some good 'ole New Orleans cookin' at Preux and Proper.

Preux and Proper is now here to offer you delicious food that has all the freshness of Southern California and all the flavor of New Orleans. To keep things interesting, they also have a pretty unusual setup that ensures you experience every aspect of Louisiana.

The first floor of the restaurant is where you will find the "preux" of Preux and Proper, which is fancy French talk that means brave, valiant, gallant and courageous. This basically means that this is where you'll come to sip signature cocktails like the Drunken Watermelon at happy hour with friends or to meet up for a casual dinner and enjoy bites like the Smoked Shrimp Beignets and a Steam Pot. Oh and of course fitting with the preux theme, this is obviously where you will be on your most gentlemanly like behavior, right?

Since the first floor is preux, you can probably guess that the second floor is proper, and we really hope that we don't have to explain what that word means to you. Ultimately, this is where you'll sit in the open air bistro with your southern Belle enjoying an Old Fashion and elegant, yet casual, dinner fare like the Grilled Beef Short Ribs followed by delicious desserts like the Pecan Pie.

So head to Preux and Proper for a delightful Mardi Gras, just leave the beads at home.
