College Football Week 13: #8 LSU At Arkansas

Mississippi State v LSU
Arkansas v Auburn
Winner Perhaps you’ve seen Les Miles’ postgame press conference by now. After the close win against Ole Miss last week, Miles defended his seniors in typical Mad Hatter fashion. The guy is never boring, that’s for sure.
Arkansas’ preseason top-10 ranking had people talking about this program, albeit for the wrong reasons. As John L. Smith and the Razorbacks have stabilized (3-3 over their last six), there hasn’t been nearly as much attention.
The Tigers overcame three turnovers and scored with 15 seconds left to beat Ole Miss last week.
Winner Tyler Wilson continues to struggle with interceptions, throwing seven over his last four games. He needs to be much more efficient for Arkansas to have a chance.
Winner LSU picked off three passes last week and is ranked fourth in yards per play allowed.
The decent SEC offenses have had no trouble scoring on the Razorbacks. They will need to be stout against the run on Saturday.
Special Teams
Winner Odell Beckham had a spectacular 89-yard punt return for a touchdown last week to tie the game in the fourth quarter.
Arkansas muffed a punt last week, a play indicative of its special teams performance this season.

The Winner Is

Mississippi State v LSU
Winner LSU
3 out of 4

Arkansas hasn’t come close to hanging with any of the SEC’s top-tier programs this season. LSU should win big.
