A former Westminster police officer convicted of kidnap and rape has been found dead in his jail cell hours before he was scheduled to make a court appearance.
A jury has determined that a former Westminster police officer who claimed Zoloft impaired his judgment when he kidnapped and raped a woman in the Inland Empire to be sane.
A jury rejected the so-called “Zoloft defense” Wednesday and found a former Westminster police detective guilty of seven counts of kidnapping and rape.
