Winter Storm Warning
A winter storm warning in effect until Saturday has many Southland residents braving the cold temperatures, along with the rainy, windy and snowy conditions.
An early spring storm pounded Southern California Sunday, flooding roadways, causing power outages and dumping snow on mountain areas as low as 4,500 feet.
Another winter storm is headed for the Southland and several warnings and watches have been issued in anticipation.
Most of this week’s rough weather has already passed through Southern California, but a winter storm warning will remain in effect through noon Tuesday.
The California Highway Patrol has reopened Interstate 5 in a mountain pass north of Los Angeles after a nearly 24-hour closure due to snow and ice that stranded many motorists.
