Van Garderen guided the BMC Racing Team with a command that suggests he could be American cycling’s next big star, winning the Tour of California on Sunday for his first professional stage race title.

American Farrar Wins Fourth Stage At Tour Of California, Acevedo Still Leads Overall

Tyler Farrar won the fourth stage of the Tour of California in a mass sprint Wednesday and Colombia’s Janier Acevedo topped the overall standings for the third day.
