A student injured in the fiery April 10 crash between a tour bus and a FedEx truck in Northern California has filed a negligence lawsuit against the mailing giant and the bus owners.
Forty-three high school students and three adult chaperones were on a bus traveling from Los Angeles for a tour of Humboldt University when the bus was struck by a FedEx tractor trailer on April 10.
The negligence suit that seeks $100 million in damages is the first filed in connection with the April 10 freeway crash in Orland, said A. King Aminpour, the attorney for the plaintiffs.
The shipping giant and the operator of the tour bus involved both released statements following the collision that killed 10 people and injured dozens on Interstate 5 near the city of Orland.
