Sepulveda Pass Improvements Project
A planned 80-hour closure of the northbound I-405 in the Sepulveda Pass over President’s Day weekend is being dubbed “Jamzilla”, Metro announced Tuesday.
The new Mulholland Bridge reopened Wednesday after a nearly three-year closure due to construction with the Sepulveda Pass Improvements Project.
The new freeway ramp at the Wilshire/I-405 Interchange opened at 6 a.m. Thursday as part of the ongoing Sepulveda Pass Improvements Project, transportation officials said.
The 1.7 miles of a general purpose lane on the northbound I-405 between the I-10 and Santa Monica Boulevard opened at 5 a.m.
The northbound 405 Freeway will be closed at Santa Monica Boulevard from 11 p.m. Friday to 9 a.m. Saturday.
Construction will continue on I-405 after crews successfully demolished the existing part of the Mulholland Bridge during Carmageddon II.
