President Barack Obama ordered sanctions against North Korea on Friday in response to the recent cyber attack on Sony Pictures Entertainment.
The NCAA Friday turned down the University of Southern California’s request to have sanctions reduced against the school’s football program, ESPN.com reported.
Southern California athletic director Pat Haden says he has spoken with NCAA President Mark Emmert about the possibility of providing some relief from the sanctions that have been weighing down the program since 2010.
