An officer-involved shooting that prompted two separate pursuits was under investigation early Wednesday morning.
Police say a suspect who led West Covina officers on a wild chase in a stolen vehicle Monday has surrendered to authorities.
The pursuit began around 9:35 p.m. in Pacoima.
A spokesperson for the agency says Christopher Druschel, 33, was originally wanted for reckless driving in Northridge before leading CHP and LAPD officers on a high-speed chase, reaching speeds of more than 115 mph on the northbound 14 Freeway.
A total of eight people, including four children, were injured Tuesday after a reckless driving suspect crashed during a pursuit in South Los Angeles.
LAPD officers were in pursuit of the vehicle when the driver committed a hit-and-run felony at Nordoff and Corbin shortly after 5 p.m. Monday, according to a department spokesperson.
The suspect was chased from the Glendale Galleria.
