Tracking data show that a mountain lion that triggered a ruckus when it was discovered under a Los Angeles home was only there a short time, and it quickly returned to the wilderness when left alone.
A well-known mountain lion that was trapped beneath a Los Feliz home is believed to be the only large carnivore worldwide living in a mega-city, according to national park officials.
Wildlife officials Tuesday said telemetry results found the mountain lion that was trapped under a Los Feliz home has left the area.
The animal was last seen in the home’s crawl space.
Officials believe a mountain lion has managed to cross at least two freeways to settle down at Griffith Park.
