A Santa Ana family affected by a deadly hit-and-run accident in June had a Christmas celebration to remember, thanks to the generosity of the police department and other members of the community.
A 33-year-old woman was charged Tuesday with second-degree murder in a hit-and-run crash that killed a 5-year-old girl and left her 6-year-old sister and mother in the hospital.
Donations have been coming in, as coins and dollars, to help a family bury their five-year-old daughter, who was killed when she, her mother and sister were struck by a hit-and-run driver in a Santa Ana crosswalk.
