Police in riot gear flooded the field of a youth football game in Southern California to stop a brawl that involved dozens and possibly hundreds of adult spectators.
A 19-year-old girl and her 43-year-old father were arrested on Friday evening following an alleged disturbance during a high school football game.
USC and UCLA are teaming up to protect fans during this weekend’s annual cross-town football contest, which was marred last year by two stabbings and a brawl during pre-game partying.
USC officials discovered the letters UCLA were painted on a practice field at USC, and the UCLA colors were painted on some flagpoles and a parking lot.
