LHP Lilly Designated For Assignment By Dodgers

The Los Angeles Dodgers designated injury-plagued left-hander Ted Lilly for assignment on Thursday and recalled utilityman Elian Herrera from Triple-A Albuquerque.

Elian Herrera tripled home Dee Gordon in the bottom of the 4th inning on Thursday night as the Dodgers scored their first run in 33 innings. Hall of fame broadcaster Vin Scully said, “Ring the bell, alert the orchestra, the Dodgers scored a run!”
