A Pacific Palisades teenager is trying to herd the world toward better awareness of elephant abuse.
Seven ivory tusks, a hippopotamus tusk and purses made of ostrich, stingray, crocodile and elephant skins were seized from the luggage of a U.S. citizen arriving from Europe, officials said Monday.
A zoo spokesman said they consider the trespass an isolated incident and are not planning any security changes at this time.
Animal rights activists are crying foul, claiming that Ringling Bros. Circus is mistreating their elephants and they have video to prove it.
