$200M Fund For Metrolink Crash Victims Finalized

A federal judge’s approval of a $200 million settlement fund for victims of a Metrolink commuter train crash was finalized this week, putting into doubt a Southern California congressman’s attempt to get more money to the victims by raising a federal limit on damage payout for passenger rail accidents.

Metrolink: $200 Million To Settle Deadly Crash

Southern California’s Metrolink commuter rail system and Connex Railroad have decided to pay the maximum $200 million liability for a collision that killed 25 people and injured more than 100 in 2008.
