Approximately 3,000 Time Warner customers Wednesday were without cable or internet due to an outage.
The companies promised consumer benefits like more economical bundles that tie mobile phone, pay TV and Internet service together on a single bill.
Comcast announced on Monday a series of subscriber swaps designed to help clear the way for regulatory approval of its acquisition of Time Warner Cable. The reorganization of the nation’s cable grid will give Comcast a stronghold in major cities like New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas and Boston.
Cable provider Comcast says it is closing its three customer call centers in Northern California and moving the 1,000 jobs they provide to Oregon, Washington and Colorado.
