Local Airport Officials To Review Safety Procedures In Light Of Asiana Crash Survivor Killed By Rescuers
Airport officials will review safety procedures at LAX and other airports in the wake of an Asiana Airlines Flight 214 crash survivor who was killed when she was run over by a fire truck.
San Francisco’s police chief confirmed in an interview Friday that one of the two teenage girls killed in the crash of a passenger jet at SFO was run over by an emergency vehicle while she was hidden by foam sprayed by firefighters to extinguish the flaming wreckage.
Passengers aboard Asiana Airlines Flight 214 say there was no indication the plane was in trouble before it crash-landed Saturday morning at San Francisco International Airport. In fact, the ten-hour flight from South Korea was relatively smooth until its fateful end.
Asiana Airlines made a statement Saturday following a crash of one of their jets in San Francisco.
Authorities Saturday said that some flights scheduled to land at San Francisco International Airport are being diverted to LAX.
