A woman who embezzled $1.8 million in lunch money from a Southern California school district is paying it back.
Following Friday’s arrest, Marvin Caukin of Calabasas was held without bail after he made an initial appearance in federal court on charges of identity theft and conspiracies to launder money and commit mail fraud.
A judge Tuesday has denied bail for a former Rialto Unified School District accountant accused of stealing $1.8 million in district lunch money.
Charges were filed Tuesday against a former Rialto Unified School District employee suspected of stealing $1.8 million over an eight year period, authorities said.
The Rialto Unified School District is reacting to the news that a former employee is accused of stealing more than $2 million over a seven-year period.
