Construction along the 405 Freeway has caused more than just traffic nightmares.


Traffic flows under the Mulholland Bridge on Interstate 405 which is slated to be demolished during the 11 miles shut down of Interstate 405 on July 7, 2011 in Los Angeles, California. Contractor Behind 405 Closure Could Face Heavy Fines For Not Finishing On Time

The contractor doing the demolition work on the 405 Freeway this weekend, dubbed “carmageddon” for the inevitable havoc the shutdown will create, could face heavy fines if the highway doesn’t reopen on time.
