Lauren Meltzer joined the CBS2/KCAL9 duopoly in June 2014.
Meltzer began her career working on the East Coast for WTIC-TV FOX 61 and the Hartford Courant. While in Connecticut, she reported on several major stories including the Cheshire home invasion trials and Superstorm Sandy.
Meltzer then moved to Southern California to pursue her passion for covering entertainment news. She has worked in the Los Angeles market as a television, digital and print journalist for the past four years.
Prior to joining the CBS team, Meltzer worked in the KTLA newsroom as an associate producer. She was later employed as a producer for TMZ, and as a features writer for the Los Angeles Times.
Meltzer originally hails from Simsbury, Connecticut. She received her Bachelor of Arts in broadcast journalism from Roger Williams University in 2011, graduating with magna cum laude distinction.
In her free time, she enjoys hiking, taking aerial yoga classes and finding the hidden gems of California.
