Wine Tasting In Los Angeles

sip malibu Wine Tasting In Los Angeles

California Wine Country includes some of the most beautiful spots in California with lovely scenery, fantastic restaurants, and of course the superb wine. But it can be a bit of a trek from Los Angeles to Napa/Sonoma, Santa Barbara or Ojai. And why spend the money on travel when you can spend it on wine? Here are some delightful wineries and neighborhood wine shops right here in LA.

2107 Westwood Boulevard
Los Angeles, CA 90025
(310) 475-0606

Wally’s has wine tasting every Saturday from 1 pm to 4pm. $10 gets you tastings of wines from all over the world and a possible discount for the wines tasted. Plus you get cheese from Wally’s Cheese Box, a new cheese shop located next door.

Wine House

2311 Cotner Ave.,
Los Angeles, CA 90064
(800) 626-9463 x260

The Wine House lets you do your tasting on your own. It has automated wine tasting that lets you try wine, for a fee, before you buy it. There’s more to the Wine House than just wine. If you’re hungry you can pop upstairs and get a bite to eat at the fabulous Upstairs 2, which was Open Table’s 2010 Diner’s Choice Winner.

Silverlake Wine

2395 Glendale Boulevard
Los Angeles, CA 90039
(323) 662-9024

Silverlake Wine has tastings three days a week and they get more fabulous as the week goes on. On Blue Monday you get a snack and three wine tastings, Thursday offers a flight of white or red, and Sunday features 4 wines, an aperitif and hors’ d’oeurves for $20.

Sip Malibu

2598 Sierra Creek Rd
Agoura, CA 91301
(818) 865-0440

Sip, the tasting room of Cielo Winery, gets props for the beautiful scenery. It’s on a hillside overlooking Malibu’s vineyards and when the weather is good, wine tasters can sit on the beautiful lit patio. $10 to $18 buys guests wine tasting, a little music in the evening, and cheese sampling. Bring a warm coat for the al fresco experience – it gets chilly in the evenings in the canyons of Malibu.

A.O.C. Wine Bar

Los Angeles, CA 90048
(323) 653-6359

The wine bar and restaurant offers Flights and Bites wine tasting on Mondays. For $12 a flight you can try wines from a region of the world and for an additional $10 you can try small plates that go along with the theme of the night.
