dineLA's bi-annual Restaurant Week is just around the corner, and it's that time of year when the best eateries in the Los Angeles areas prepare amazing multiple course pre-fixe menus for foodies, locals and visitors to enjoy at special prices. This year for Winter 2014 Restaurant Week (January 20-31, 2014,) the top culinary chefs in LA are offering unique culinary experiences that highlight exactly what each restaurant is best known for. Lucques is opening up their Cal-Med dining room for both lunch and dinner services during Restaurant Week. While lunch is a two-course menu with supplemental dessert, dinner is a three-course with choice of: White Bean Soup, Market Lettuces with Sugar Snap Peas, Mint, Radish and Meyer Lemon Cream or Asian Pears and Winter Grapes for starters; choice of Ricotta Dumplings with Sunchoke Puree, Market Fish or Harissa Grilled Chicken with Roasted Vegetables for an entree and finally, for dessert, either a Chocolate-Hazelnut Napoleon, Orange Blossom Panna Cotta, or Apple Crostata with creme fraiche and armagnac prunes. $25 / per person for lunch and $45 / per person for dinner.

Make sure to secure reservations because Wolfgang Puck's CUT is offering their very special "Quintessential Steak House Experience" Menu for parties of 6 or less during Restaurant Week. Guests will enjoy a five-course menu to include: Maine Diver Scallop 'Ceviche', Slow Braised Oxtail Consume with poached bone marrow and chive blossoms, a Pan-Roasted Maine Black Sea Bass and Dry Aged New York Sirloin Steak with creamed spinach, roasted root vegetables, and armangac peppercorn emulsion. Executive Chef Robb Lucas and Pastry Chef Mineko Malcolm have joined forces to create an elegant three-course tasting menu for Koi diners during this year's Restaurant Week. First course consists of Crispy Rice with choice of spicy tuna, avocado or yellowtail tartare, Lobster Tacos or Spicy Seared Albacore. Course Two offers Oven Roasted Chicken with mushroom ginger reduction and shishito mashed potatoes, Steamed chilean Sea Bass or Vegetable Quinoa Croquettes with edamame wasabi puree. And for dessert, guests can choose from New York Style Cheesecake or Caramelized Pear Crepe. $45 / per person

For those in the Santa Monica and Venice areas, Bar Pintxo is offering this must-not miss three-course menu by Abbot Kinney superstar chef, Joe Miller. For starters, diners will enjoy Manchego y Membrillo, a Manchego cheese and quince paste; followed by a choice of Sopa de Lenteja, a lentil soup with smoked bacon and chorizo, Ensalada de Betabel, a beet salad with goat's cheese, chili vinaigrette and mint, or Croquetas de Bacalao o Pollo y Jamon, salt cod croquettes or chicken and jamon serrano croquettes. Entrees include: Gambas al Ajillo, Mayan head on shrimp with garlic, lemon and parsley; Brocheta de Buey con Mojo Rojo, a filet mignon skewer with market vegetables and roasted red pepper sauce, or Paella for Two with saffron rice, chicken and chorizo. First course is a choice of: Yellow and Red Baby Beet Salad, Bastilla or Quefta a la Provencal with a supplement dish of Sea Scallop Bastilla. Choice of Entree includes: Tiger Shrimp Tagliatelle Pasta, Farm-raised Lemon Chicken Couscous or Oven-Roasted Lamb with a supplement dish of Grilled Halibut.
