Girl Scout Cookie Sale Proceeds Go Missing After Cash Box Is Left Behind Outside California Market

REDLANDS (CBSLA) — Cookie proceeds from a Girl Scout booth went missing after a cash box was inadvertently left behind outside of a supermarket in Southern California.

After learning of the missing proceeds, the Redlands Police Officers Foundation stepped in, and donated $500 to replace the funds.

The money was taken outside of an Albertsons in Redlands on Saturday.

Authorities initially reported that the cash box had been stolen.
