WILMINGTON (CBSLA) – A collegiate rowing team conducting a practice discovered a man’s body floating in the waters of San Pedro Bay Saturday morning in Wilmington.
At around 9 a.m., the rowing team came upon the fully-clothed body of a man off Mormon Island, according to Los Angeles Port Police.
The Los Angeles Fire Department was called out to recover the body.
There was no immediate information on the victim’s identity. It was unclear if foul play was suspected, port police said.
