USGS: Quake With Preliminary Magnitude Of 3.5 Hits Castaic Lake Area
CASTAIC LAKE (CBSLA.com) — A minor quake has been reported in the Castaic Lake area.
The U.S. Geological Survey says the 3.5 magnitude quake hit just after 12:46 p.m. Sunday 2 miles northwest of Castaic, and 6 miles northwest of Valencia.
There have been no reports of damage or injuries.
The quake was felt in Castaic, Valencia, and Santa Clarita, according to responses posted to the USGS site.
