Man Shot Dead Outside South LA Liquor Store

SOUTH LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) – A known gang member was shot and killed outside a liquor store in South Los Angeles late Wednesday night.

The male victim, between 18 and 20 years of age, was shot at around 11:30 p.m. at South San Pedro Street and East 62nd Street, according to Los Angeles police.

He died at the scene. His name was not released.

Investigators are unsure on the circumstances of the shooting.

Police found a hammer and broken glass near the liquor store. They were conducting interviews with several potential witnesses, including a liquor store security guard. No arrests have been made.
