Man Killed, 2 Women Wounded In Shooting Outside Signal Hill Strip Club

SIGNAL HILL (CBSLA.com) — A man was killed and two women were wounded after gunfire broke out outside a Signal Hill strip club early Tuesday morning.

The shooting happened at about 1:50 a.m., just as the Fantasy Castle, in the 2800 block of Walnut Avenue, was closing for the night.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, while the two women were rushed to an area hospital, Los Angeles County sheriff's spokesman Deputy Kelvin Moody said. Both are listed in stable condition.

A witness said one woman was hit in the knee.

Fantasy Castle has been the site of previous shootings, the most recent in October of last year.

Walnut Avenue between 27th Street and 29th Street, and 28th Street between Gaviota and Gundry avenues will be closed for several hours as police investigate.
