Los Angeles is the greatest city on the planet to catch a comedy show. If you're still mourning the loss of Jim Gaffigan's criminally underrated semi-autobiographical TV Land sitcom, there's some good news. The family and food-obsessed comic will be bringing his Noble Ape tour to downtown Los Angeles for four sure to be gut-busting shows (he'll be doing double duty on Saturday). Don't miss the opportunity to see one of the all-time great comedians perform in one of the city's best venues.

Their performance at the Bowl is sure to be packed with plenty of laughs and songs, as well as a few special guests. Be sure to stick around for the post-show fireworks.

This Australian stand-up has made a name for himself stateside in recent years with his popular Netflix special "Freedumb" and weekly Comedy Central series "The Jim Jefferies Show." And let's never forget, he's the guy who told Piers Morgan to take a hike in not so many words during an appearance on "Real Time with Bill Maher." Jefferies is sure to provide a healthy dose of his caustic, no-filter take on current events during the Long Beach stop of his "The Unusual Punishment" tour. Brace yourselves.

Watching Tig Notaro perform live is always a treat but getting a chance to see her at the venue where she performed her legendary "I have Cancer" set is extra special. Ever since that career-defining evening Notaro's (almost) monthly Largo show has become one of the city's must-see nights of stand-up and this upcoming show should be no exception. Expect raw, painfully funny anecdotes from the "One Mississippi" star as well as sets from her notable pals.

No stranger to the LA comedy club scene, Chris D'Elia holds the distinction of being Justin Bieber's favorite comedian – but please don't hold that against him. As D'Elia's star has risen to national headliner status, his local appearances have become more of a rarity. Don't miss this opportunity to see the "Whitney" and "Undateable" star in the relatively intimate confines of the historic Hollywood Improv.

This live taping of Paul Scheer's brilliant podcast is always a hot ticket and for good reason. The premise for the show is something everyone can relate to: Scheer, along with his wife June Diane-Raphael, "The League" co-star Jason Mantzoukas, and rotating special guests (Nick Kroll, Abbi Jacobson, and Ilana Glazer recently stopped by) watch a terrible flick and ponder "how did this get made?" Movies have included everything from "Terminator Ninja" and "The Star Wars Holiday Special" so prepare for an evening equal parts awful and amazing.

Plenty of big names have emerged from the star-making machine that is "Saturday Night Live," but few have left their mark on the four decades-plus running sketch show than Darrell Hammond. His uncanny ability to hilariously channel everyone from Bill Clinton to Sean Connery is forever embedded into the fabric of SNL. Hammond will be bringing that impressive impersonation arsenal to the South Bay when he headlines at Hermosa Beach's Comedy & Magic Club. No guarantees, but maybe, just maybe he'll even unleash his Donald Trump.
