Alternating with DJ nights, every Friday night throughout the summer, Grand Park becomes one gigantic open-to-the-public party. Dance DTLA is just as lively only there is an element of instruction that makes these nights specially worthwhile. Ranging from Salsa to Tango, Disco to Bollywood, this bi-monthly dance party gives participants the chance to learn new moves with a particular genre of music every other week. This Friday night it's time to strap on some boots and that cowboy hat as line dancing and the timeless two-step will take over the sprawling greens of the Grand. These events are open to all ages and free for guests. Food and drink is available for purchase but more importantly, you can dance under the stars in the middle of Downtown Los Angeles. It doesn't get cooler than that.

It's an essential accoutrement, but for this particular festival, salsa is the star. Showcasing various recipes from local vendors, the Latin Salsa Festival gives visitors the chance to sample a healthy variety of blends to find their favorite. While salsa can be a delicious punctuation, the festival will have plenty of dining options to better appreciate the nuances of the different entries. Offering live entertainment while guests explore, there will also be salsa lessons offered to work off some of that extra snacking. Between the music and the sampling, it's all things salsa in Pershing Square this weekend.
