Man Wanted For Raping Girl Outside Riverside Church

RIVERSIDE (CBSLA.com) — Police Monday released a sketch of a man who kidnapped and raped a girl outside a Riverside church.

On Sunday at about 2:30 p.m., officers responded to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 5900 Grand Avenue regarding a report of a kidnapping.

The investigation determined that a man pulled a juvenile female into an enclosed dumpster area and sexually assaulted her, according to Public Information Officer Ryan Railsback of the Riverside Police Department.

The victim was able to get away from her attacker and called for help, Railsback said.

The suspect was described as a dark-skinned Hispanic male, approximately 50 years old with a goatee and short dark messy hair.
