3.5 Magnitude Quake Rattles Idyllwild, USGS Reports

IDYLLWILD (CBSLA.com) — A minor quake has been reported in Riverside County.

The U.S. Geological Survey says the 3.5 magnitude quake hit just before 8:20 a.m. Sunday five miles south-southwest of Idyllwild, and 32 miles east-southwest of Moreno Valley.

So far, residents in Idyllwild, Hemet, Anza, Palm Springs, Winchester, and Cathedral City reported feeling the quake, according to responses posted to the USGS website.

There have been no reports of damage or injuries.
