Stricter Bag Policy To Debut At StubHub Center

CARSON (CBSLA.com) — Fans are being advised to arrive early to StubHub Center in Carson Saturday evening when the Los Angeles Galaxy play the Houston Dynamo.

The Major League Soccer club is implementing an updated bag policy for the first time that will limit the size and type of bags permitted to enter the stadium.

Effective immediately, large purses, coolers, briefcases, backpacks, fanny packs, cinch bags, luggage, computer bags and camera bags are prohibited. Clear plastic or clear vinyl bags not exceeding 12 inches by six inches by 12 inches will be permitted, along with 1-gallon clear plastic freezer bags.

Exceptions will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection at a gate designated for this purpose, according to MLS.

The Galaxy website states that the new bag policy is part of an effort "to continue improving safety measures for all fans" and that the policy "will enhance stadium safety and expedite entry to the stadium." The bag policy will apply to all StubHub Center events.

The first 12,500 fans entering the stadium Saturday will receive a clear, Galaxy-branded bag. Season-ticket holders can receive a complimentary clear Galaxy bag that can be collected at the Item Pick-Up booth on June 24 and July 4.

Clear Galaxy bags will be available for purchase at the Galaxy Team Store. Clear bags are also included with the Cozmo Club membership that benefits the LA Galaxy Foundation.

Galaxy is advising fans to arrive no later than 7 p.m. in order to not miss the 8 p.m. kickoff.

More information on the bag policy is available online at lagalaxy.com/bagpolicy.
