At Least 1 Hurt After Tree Crashes Down In Van Nuys

VAN NUYS (CBSLA.com) – A large tree came down in a Van Nuys neighborhood Tuesday evening, injuring at least one person.

The Los Angeles Fire Department reports that the tree came down just before 7 p.m. in the 8000 block of North Ranchito Avenue.

A 15-year-old boy suffered scrapes to his legs, authorities said.

An ambulance was called to the scene and at least one person was transported to a hospital, LAFD said.

No further details were confirmed.
