Duarte Homes Threatened By 2-Alarm Brush Fire

DUARTE (CBSLA.com) – A two-alarm brush fire Monday afternoon was threatening homes in Duarte.

The approximately 1-acre fire was reported at 3:22 p.m. near the 200 block of Westvale Road, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

It was unclear if any evacuations would be needed, LACFD said. Crews from several agencies were on scene.

Encanto Parkway was closed in the area.

The circumstances of the blaze were not immediately known.
