Crews Stop Forward Progress Of Brush Fire In Simi Valley
SIMI VALLEY (CBSLA.com) — Crews stopped the forward progress of a brush fire in Simi Valley Tuesday afternoon that was burning near homes in the Wood Ranch community.
The fire was reported shortly before 3 p.m. near Sage Street and Laurel Ridge Dr. The fire had grown to 50 acres shortly after 3:30 p.m.
Forward progress of the fire was stopped shortly after 4 p.m. Sixty-one acres were burned.
No structures were threatened, no injuries were reported and no evacuations were ordered.
