Man, 53, Busted For Shooting Upskirt Video Of 13-Year-Old Girl In La Habra

LA HABRA (CBSLA.com) —  Authorities have announced the arrest of a man for shooting upskirt videos of females in Southland stores.

Officials said this time the victim was a 13-year-old girl.

It's the third such incident in recent memory. A few months ago, a man in Santa Clarita was arrested for doing a similar thing. In Irvine, several weeks ago, a HomeGoods employee was taken into custody for taking upskirt photos of female shoppers.

"That's crazy," said shopper Jillian Lovato. "It's actually kind of scary when it comes down to it."

This time it happened in La Habra.

CBS2's Michele Gile reports this latest incident happened Sunday at a Michael's craft store on Imperial Highway.

"It just makes me wonder, I mean, how many other people could be doing something like this or who else may be coming into this store or other stores like it," said Lovato.

Posted signs say that surveillance cameras are rolling inside of Michael's but police say the camera the 13-year-old victim saw was one man's cellphone.

The suspect has been identified as Roland Moreno, 53. Moreno is also a registered sex offender.

Moreno, according to officers, is registered in the city of Whittier but he told police that he actually lives in Buena Park.

"I'm  actually at a kind of a loss for words," said one man, " I haven't even had time to process this. It's incredible."

Officials said they scrolled though the camera on Moreno's phone and say they found nearly 200 pictures and videos of unidentified girls and women shot up their skirts.

Moreno has made bail, Gile reported.
