Hollywood Street Closures Start Tonight For 'Rogue One' Premiere

HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Street closures of epic proportions will start Monday night in Hollywood in advance of this weekend's premiere of "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story."

The highly-anticipated film will premiere Saturday at the Pantages Theatre.

The biggest street closure will be Hollywood Boulevard, which will be closed to traffic starting at 10 p.m. Monday night from Ivar Avenue and Vine Street, and from Vine to Argyle Avenue. The closure will last until 6 a.m. next Tuesday, Dec. 13.

On Saturday, more of Hollywood Boulevard will be shut down – from 3 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. Saturday, the roadway will be closed to westbound traffic from Argyle Avenue and Gower Street, and to eastbound traffic between Cahuenga Boulevard and Ivar.

Vine will also be closed between Hollywood and Yucca Street from 9 p.m. Friday through 9 a.m. Sunday, and the stretch between Sunset Boulevard and Yucca will be closed between 3 p.m. and 11:59 p.m. Saturday.

The sidewalks will remain open to pedestrians except for the day of the premiere.
