Oxnard Police Look For 4-Year-Old Girl Who Hasn't Been Seen In Nearly 2 Years

OXNARD (CBSLA.com)   —   Police in Oxnard are looking for a 4-year-old girl who authorities say has not been seen for more than a year and a half.

The girl's parents allegedly told social workers the child was living with relatives in Mexico.

Investigators told KCAL9's Laurie Perez the parents can't prove where Kimberly Lopez is.

Social workers told investigators they last saw Kimberly in the 900 block of Denver Place.

Police released photos of the little girl hoping that someone can come forward and say where she is.

They also released booking photos of her parents -- 25-year old Myra Lopez and 31-year-old Omar Lopez.

The couple is now in custody for failing to provide information on the child's whereabouts.

A $10,000 reward is being offered for information that will lead investigators to Kimberly.

Authorities do believe the child is in Mexico or California and say when she is found she will be turned over to protective custody.
