Cyber Monday Expected To Set Records

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — On Monday cyber sales are expected to top last year, which was up over the year before.

Experts say technology is helping drive the increase in sales.

Smartphones are getting faster, making it easier to go on line and shop from anywhere, eliminating the need to camp outside stores or wait in long lines.

Sales are expected to $3.3 billion, a 9 percent jump from last year and 27 percent up from 2014.

So what are some of the big offers Monday?

Forbes.com compiled a list:

  • Target is taking 15 percent off a 32-giga bite Wifi  Ipad.
  • Walmart has slashed $1,200 off one of its 65-inch, 4K HD TVs.
  • Amazon is matching it's Black Friday pricing on it's popular Echo, dropping the price $40.

Also expect to see discounts on clothes and toys.
